Mr and Mrs Jan Peskens are this week’s RA owners of the week for the PE chapter. This follows their win with Blaze of Fire at Fairview on 22 March. Blaze of Fire is owned in partnership with F H McGrath and EWC Rudman and is trained by Yvette Bremner.

This four year old colt has been placed on 11 occasions and has 7 wins under his belt. He was bred at Maine Chance Farm – Victory Moon – Buccellati by Secret Prospector (USA).

Peskens has a love for horses in general, having been involved in show-jumping, moving to thoroughbred racehorse ownership and more recently, every racehorse owners’ dream, he has acquired a broodmare in partnership and has taken an interest in the breeding aspect of thoroughbreds.   We wish him and Mrs Peskens success in these endeavours.

Jan was recently co-opted to the East Cape RA chapter board and we look forward to his support with his broad-based passion for horses.
