CHAMPION jockey Joao Moreira edged closer to the magical 200 winner mark riding six winners last weekend.
After a double on Friday night, Moreira added four more to his tally on the Sunday and his 2012 record now stands at 192 victories at the staggering strike-rate of 31.42%, or almost a winner at one in every three rides.
He holds an unassailable 125 win lead over his nearest rival Stephen Baster who is also having an outstanding first season in Singapore having landed 67 winners.
After winning the last two Jockey's Premiership titles with record tallies, Moreira is poised to become the first jockey to crack the 200 win barrier in Singapore.
