Jockey Jeff Lloyd, a cult figure amongst South African racegoers, has been included in the South African team to take on some of the best international riders in the AVIS Coach Charter Jockeys International Challenge next weekend.
The annual challenge will start with a meeting at Turffontein on Friday night November 16 and finish at Clairwood on Sunday, November 18.
The second leg was originally scheduled to be held at Greyville but inclement weather over the past three months has resulted in the grass that was re-laid after the building of a new subway under the track at the 300m mark not recovering enough to allow racing.
